Indian States Ranked by Area
India is composed of 28 states, each varying significantly in size. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat stand out as the largest states area-wise, encompassing expansive territories within the country. In contrast, Goa, Sikkim, Tripura, Nagaland, and Mizoram are among the smallest states in terms of geographical area.
Bihar holds the distinction of having the highest population density among all Indian states, reflecting its dense concentration of inhabitants. On the other hand, Arunachal Pradesh boasts the lowest population density, highlighting its vast but sparsely populated landscape.

India comprises 8 Union Territories, with the National Capital Territory of Delhi being one of them. Ladakh emerges as the largest Union Territory by area, succeeded by Jammu & Kashmir. In contrast, Lakshadweep is the smallest Union Territory in terms of geographical size.
